BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — "Real Housewives of New Jersey" TV star Gia Giudice gave a new update on Thursday about her upcoming Italian restaurant in Bergen County.
Il Vero (Italian for “the truth”) was set to debut in early June, but has not yet opened. However, construction is coming along, Giudice noted in her video update on Thursday (see it below).

The two-story eatery will boast indoor and outdoor seating, a bar, private event space, and rooftop dining.
The Dominican chef behind the menu will weave Latin influences into the classic Italian dishes, the restaurant team said.
Giudice's mother Teresa, who has been featured on the series since the first episode, is a creative consultant for the project.
"Il Vero isn’t just a restaurant, it’s meant to be the place you go for dinners, celebrations, rooftop nights, and everything in between," a spokesperson said.
In her update on Thursday, Giudice showed off the wood paneling behind the bar area, which will be mirrored so customers can see themselves at the bar. Twenty-five to 28 people will be able to sit at the bar at once.
The downstairs seating area will fit 45 people, she said. There will also be lounge dining and roof access.
"Turquoise velvet booths," she said, showing off the upstairs dining area. "Turquoise velvet curtains. It's absolutely stunning and breathtaking."
"Il Vero offers you everything," she said. "We are so excited and we will see you so soon."
The restaurant will be located at 170 Center Ave., the former location of the bistro and event space called Prohibition.
