Gia Giudice Of 'Real Housewives Of NJ' Gives Virtual Tour Of Westwood Restaurant (Video)

Glass rails and rooftop dining: Peek inside the Westwood restaurant owned by Teresa and Gia Giudice that's coming soon.

WESTWOOD, NJ — Two weeks after "Real Housewives of New Jersey" cast members Teresa Giudice and daughter Gia revealed that they plan to open an Italian restaurant in Westwood, Gia gave a virtual tour of the new digs.

The family hopes to open Il Vero in Westwood in spring at 170 Center Ave., the former location of the bistro and event space called Prohibition.

In a two-minute video posted Friday, Gia enters the restaurant with a pet dog in her coat pocket. She notes, "This is going to be the huge bar that's going to be in the main entrance of the restaurant. Tile is going down today. Walls are being painted. There's going to be a huge chandelier."

She then climbs a wooden staircase that's still being built.

"This staircase overlooks the entire restaurant and brings you into the restaurant."

On the second level, she said, "This upstairs is going to have glass railings all around. it's going to make you have a visual of the entire restaurant."

She then steps out to a snow-covered roof. "It is going to be so nice to have couches up here, some outdoor seating, and really just enjoy the nice weather," she says. "Most restaurants don't have a rooftop so it's pretty amazing that we have a space that has it all."

"There's lots of work to be done, but we are so excited to open this beautiful space in the spring," she said. "I'm so excited for your guys to see the final look of everything."

This isn't the Giudice family's first foray into the food business. Teresa Giudice published her Skinny Italian cookbook in 2010, and according to the Bravo TV network, Gia hosted a pizza-making party for other reality stars at her home.

The elder Giudice became infamous in season 1 of RHONJ, in 2009, when another cast member so enraged her that she flipped a table.

The new restaurant is unlikely to see much table-flipping, but will patrons flip over the food? Patch reached out last month for more details, and will update the story when they're released.
