A special display of late 19th- and early 20th-century firefighting equipment is on display at the Wyckoff Public Library.
The display is being done in conjunction with the library’s “Every Hero Has a Story,” summer reading program, NorthJersey.com reported.
“”Libraries across the nation are participating in this theme, and I wanted to put a spotlight on the proud history of this organization,” library Director Mary Witherell told the website. “I am happy the community can view these historic artifacts.”

The display includes a chemical wagon from the 1880s that mixed soda acid and water together as a way of extinguishing a fire and a mannequin wearing a rubber coat from the 1930s, the website said.
