AOA Cleaning & Restoration in Wyckoff is a Giant of Generosity
Wyckoff, N.J. cleaning and restoration business answers the call from non-profit, Giants of Generosity, to help Ridgewood family in distress

It isn’t every day that a local business does a good deed for someone who’s not a customer. And it’s a rare day when the business performs its job as an act of charity to those in desperate need. But that’s exactly what AOA Cleaning & Restoration of Wyckoff did last week when it got a call for help from Giants of Generosity, a Bergen County 501c3 charitable organization.
On behalf of the non-profit, which brought the case to the company’s attention, AOA Cleaning and Restoration came to the aid of a Ridgewood family in need late last week. The family, which is dealing with multiple challenges to their health and livelihood, suffered a broken water heater and a major basement flood, and could not afford to have the basement cleaned up and dried out. Giants of Generosity, whose mission is to help people facing critical, life-altering situations, was contacted and in turn, placed a call to AOA asking for assistance of some kind. Kevin Grau and AOA’s team of certified property damage experts stepped up in a big way.
The technicians, recognizing the need for immediate action in order to avoid dangerous mold proliferation, removed the soaked and ruined carpeting and then extracted all the water, applied antimicrobial agents, and put drying equipment in place for a few days to make sure the area dried properly. The area is now properly cleaned and remediated the AOA way—at no charge to the beleaguered family.
