Bear Climbs Utility Pole Outside Bergen County Bakery: Reports
A black bear climbed up a utility pole outside a Wyckoff bakery on Sunday, reports said. This is the second bear sighting this month.
WYCKOFF, NJ — A black bear climbed up a utility pole outside a Wyckoff bakery on Sunday afternoon, reports said.
Facebook user Tyler Franco posted three pictures of the bear, who was hanging out on a pole by Palermo's Bakery on Franklin Avenue. Some Wyckoff police officers are there, too, watching it. NorthJersey.com first reported about the bear.
As reporter Kristie Cattafi said, the bear "could not be reached for comment."

Wyckoff Police reported a bear sighting on Ravine Avenue earlier this month. Police told NJ.com the bear was on the pole about 15 minutes, then came down and went to a nearby pond for a drink.
Lt. Joseph Soto told NJ.com the department watches reported bears to make sure they aren't being aggressive before they move on from populated areas.
