Bergen Businesses Vie for $50,000 on 'Crowd Rules'

Teaneck's Pickle Licious, Wyckoff's Heartbreaking Dawns and a third New Jersey specialty food business will duel for the votes of a studio audience.

In the competitive world of small business every dollar counts towards success or failure.

On the Tuesday night premiere of CNBC’s “Crowd Rules” two Bergen companies — Teaneck’s Pickle Licious and Heartbreaking Dawns of Wyckoff — will be competing for a potentially life-changing cash prize.

The specialty food businesses — the pickle emporium Pickle Licious, hot sauce and spice blend-maker Heartbreaking Dawns, and Monmouth County’s Mr. Green Tea — are vying for the studio audience votes that could earn them the $50,000 purse.

Panelists on the show include entrepreneur and jewelry designer Kendra Scott, NY1 Anchor Pat Kiernan and a weekly guest industry expert. The final decision on the prize winner will come down to a studio audience vote.

“While the small business owners make their case to the panel of three, the real power lies in the hands of the audience — 97 strong — whose votes will ultimately decide which business is most deserving of the investment,” according to a CNBC statement.
