Bergen Counselor Who Sexually Abused Kids Has Licenses Revoked

FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ — The state revoked the licenses of a borough man who admitted last year to sexually abusing eight children he was supposed to be caring for, officials announced.
Troy Leonard, 31, plead guilty in May 2016 to eight counts of second-degree sexual assault. All the children were younger than 13, authorities announced.
The state revoked Leonard's marriage and family therapy counseling licenses for being convicted of a crime "involving moral turpitude... engaged in gross malpractice and professional misconduct," a consent order Attorney General's Office states.

Leonard also pleaded guilty to health care fraud for charging insurance companies for treatments he never provided.
