Fat Pastor Friday: Set it and forget it

If your planning on loosing weight, remember, it's going to take time. Don't get frustrated when you don't see the results right away just set it and forget it.

For those of you reading this that don't know me let me tell you a story. Last year when I found out I was going to be a father I decided to go on: Operation Loose Weight So Nathan Doesn't Have A Fat Daddy

I set a goal weight for myself and a little under a year later I had lost 50 pounds and met my goal. I have to say losing the weight was one of the hardest but most rewarding things I've ever done.

So I've decided to share some of what I've learned along the weight loss path in hopes that it will help you lose a few of those pounds you've been meaning to part ways with. I've designated every Friday on this blog to be "fat pastor Friday" What do you think? Here is my 1st piece of advice.

Set it and forget it. The first thing I needed to understand when I decided to lose weight was that it is going to take a LONG time. Unfortunately weight loss is not something that yields immediate results. (I lost about 30 pounds before people started to notice.)

At first I was really frustrated. I felt like I was working hard and getting nothing in return for it. So I had to keep reminding myself that it's going to take time. Once I got that realization it made the hard work a little more bearable.

Let me CMA <-- (cover my... you get the picture) by saying that I am not a doctor, or trainer or anything along those lines, I'm simply someone sharing what they learned along the way. This is not a weight loss plan or anything like that and always check with your doctor before starting any type of weight loss or exercise plan.
