Indian Hills Girls Lax Clinch Independence North League Title

Indian Hills Girls Lax Defeat Northern Highlands 8-3 to clinch the Independence North League Title and remain undefeated.

With sole ownership of the Independence North league title on the line Indian Hills played from a position of strength and determination to out last Northern Highlands. From the begining it was clear this was a defensive duel.  The only score in the first half came from Nicole Kopyta on a loose ball in front of the crease.

With the score 1-0 Hills at the half, goalie Shannon Bremmer would battle for the shutout.  But with 7:31 left in the game Highlands scored to end the drought and the score was 5-1. Highlands defense held Hills to their lowest scoring game of the season, and the final was 8-3.

Indian Hills is now 13-0 on the season with Natalie Carti and Nicole Kopyta in the top 10 points total and Shannon Bremmer currently in the top five for save precentage. Earlier in the season Carti broke the Bergan County points record set in 2009.  In tonights game Carti scored 3 with 3 assists.  Kopyta and Erin Murphy scored 3 and 2 respectfully. Bremmer had 6 saves that will surely raise her save percentage.
