Man Hospitalized, Dog Rescued After Jeep Overturns In Wyckoff Crash: Police

A man was hospitalized and a dog was rescued after a two-car crash in Wyckoff, police said. See photos.

WYCKOFF, NJ — A man was taken to the hospital Wednesday night after a car crashed into his Jeep, causing it to overturn, police said.

Around 5 p.m. Wednesday, a 17-year-old Wyckoff resident driving a Honda Civic turned left from Sicomac Avenue onto Cedar Hill Avenue and collided with the Jeep, said Police Lt. Joseph Soto.

The Jeep, which was driven by a 73-year-old Hawthorne man, turned onto its side, Soto said.

The driver complained of head and shoulder pain and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation, Soto said.

A dog that was in the Jeep appeared to be in good health and was turned over to a friend of the driver after, police said.

The other driver was unharmed.

No summonses have been issued and the crash was still under investigation by the Wyckoff Traffic Bureau, Soto said.
