The Partners in Care Team was developed to foster relationships between staff and residents through meaningful quarterly events.

Partners in Care, a new service-excellence team at Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) in Wyckoff recently held an event titled “Together We Bloom” where staff worked with a long-term care resident to create something special with flowers. The Partners in Care Team was developed to foster relationships between staff and residents through meaningful quarterly events.

The winner of the “Together We Bloom” contest for the most creative entry was
The Longview Assisted Living Residence residents with Longview staff members
Jan DeSee, Activities Assistant, and Cheryl Wolf, ADC, Longview Activities
Director. They created a floral painting using okra to stamp the design. Cheryl
Daniel, Organizational Development and Service Excellence Special Events/Program Facilitator and Heritage Manor Nursing Home Resident Mina
DeRuiter’s entry was voted the most colorful. Patti Lombardi, ADC, Hillcrest
Residence Activities Coordinator and Heritage Manor resident Brendan Rooney’s
terrarium won for being the most realistic. Sandra Ondrof, CHCC’s Gift Shop
Manager, partnered with her aunt, who is a resident of Heritage Manor, to
create a beautiful floral tea cart.

The team’s first quarter event was a “Spreading the Love” cupcake-decorating

their creativity to make a unique hat.
