Wafa House – Running the Extra Mile for Our Families

Wafa House will host their annual gala fundraiser event Sunday, Apr. 14^th, 2013, from 5-9 p.m. at The Tides Estate located in North Haledon, New Jersey.

The gala event will raise money for Wafa House, an organization which provides crisis counseling, family counseling, parenting skills, financial literacy workshops and other services to area women. The agency specializes in providing culturally sensitive services to families of Middle Eastern or South Asian descent, but Wafa House services everyone without regard to ethnicity, creed or gender. All services provided by Wafa House are free and confidential.

Come and meet the Executive Board, staff, advocates, volunteers and year round supporters of Wafa House and enjoy an evening filled with laughter, networking, dining, and reflection. The agency will be, “Honoring the philanthropic efforts of the community and agency members who work tirelessly to ease the suffering of others.” 

The evening will include entertainment, dinner, a silent auction, and the keynote address will be delivered by, Dr. Hamid Dabashi of Columbia University, who is a celebrated author and champion on human rights.

Tickets for the event are $75 and student tickets are $40. All tickets are $100 at the door.
