WYCKOFF DAY !!

Wyckoff Day At the Wyckoff Y

Wyckoff Day was celebrated at the Wyckoff Y once again. The day, cool, and partly sunny, perfect.

Got there early so I could do some photos before the twon came over. It was a wise idea. As the day progressed from the opening at 11 AM the rows of vendors and Wyckoff Township booths became a sea of residents, friends and familes. It was SRO in many areas as familes visited the booths and merchants, and as they walked to the games and fun rides.

It was great time of bringing the residents of Wyckoff together. A great day to spend time with your neighbors, friends, meeting new friends, learning about your Town. On hand were Mayor Boonstra who held his "Meet The Mayor" day at the Y. Kevin Rooney, Doug Christie, Haakon Jepsen and Brian Scanlan were all walking and greeting residents. They all spent time listening to residents and each bringing the day a true sense of Community. Mayor Boonstra was at his booth at 1 PM ready to meet anyone and so he did.

Also on hand, leading to greater community atmosphere was the Wyckoff Volunteer Ambulance Corps with one the twon ambulances, the CERT team, the DPW had a back hoe the kids could climb on and learn about how they serve Wyckoff, and the Wyckoff Volunteer Fire Department had a big, bright, shiny, truck that everyone had a tour of.

As I walked the rows and rows of booths I met so many friends. Sue from Miller's Pharmacy, Barbara and Dawn from Glen Rock Savings Bank, Linda and Bill Brock, all my friends with the Wyckoff Enviornmental Commission and a really great friend Carol who is President of the Board Of Health. This is just to name a few.

The entire Wyckoff Y camous was filled with smiles and laughter. A very enjoyable day for this writer.

I must add a great thanks to Chief Fox and all the Wyckoff Police Department for making this a safe event.

I do hope you all enjoy the images.
