Roller Coaster Weekend for Nick Jonas

The Giants won but "How to Succeed..." ticket sales fell

Nick Jonas has been , but no one man show can roll on forever without a couple of bumps in the road.

Nick received his first Broadway reality check this weekend when Variety reported that weekly ticket sales for "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" dropped almost 50 percent from the prior week under the stewardship of former leading man Darren Criss.

The dour news likely rolled off the 19-year-old pop star's shoulders after the New York Giants won the Super Bowl Sunday night in Indianapolis.

In other slightly-related Nick news, the ubiquitous Wyckoff teen was also twice-tied to an NBC Super Bowl commercial featuring a song from "How to Succeed..."

The feel-good, moderately funny, 3-and-a-half minute mini-musical/corporate pat on the back, featured everyone who's ever appeared on an NBC show in the last decade, including the cast of show "Smash," which debuted Monday night.

The surprise twist? Nick is scheduled to appear on the show later this month, according to Broadway World.

But independence-loving Nick is doing more than living it up, he's also giving back.

The youngest Jonas Brother, who was selected last year to be the National Ambassador for the 2012 Kids' Night on Broadway, is expected to host a party for the charity at the Manhattan branch of the wax museum, Madame Tussads, Tuesday afternoon.

He's slated to join droves of kids from ages 6 to 18 for various theater-related activities, according to TheaterMania.com.
