Cash, Jewelry Taken From Goffle Road Home, Police Said

Family discovers items missing upon returning home from vacation, authorities said.

Cash and jewelry were stolen from a Goffle Road house, police reported.

On May 29, a Goffle Road resident reported to police that his home had been burglarized; the homeowners had been on vacation for nine days; authorities said.

The alleged burglar was believed to enter the house through the front door, which may have been unlocked, police reported.

Cash and jewelry were taken from the house, Chief Benjamin Fox said.

There have been several burglaries on the Ridgewood side of Goffle Road recently, Fox said.

Residents should make sure their doors and windows are locked and turn lights on when it is dark out.

Suspicious vehicles should be reported to the police, Fox said.
