Christian Health Care Center to Celebrate Silver Anniversary of its Annual Golf Classic

Christian Health Care Center (CHCC), headquartered in Wyckoff, will celebrate its 25th Annual Golf Classic on Monday, June 9, 2014, at the Knoll Country Club in Parsippany. Two shotgun starts are offered beginning promptly at 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. The registration fee is $275, which includes greens fees, continental breakfast, a golf cart, putting contest, barbecue lunch, hole-in-one cars, dinner, golf gift, and door prizes. Sponsorship opportunities at various levels are available, but going quickly. Proceeds from the 25th Annual Fund, which will be used for renovations and improvements within Heritage Manor Nursing Home. Douglas A. Struyk, CPA, LNHA, CHCC President and CEO, said, “We are proud to celebrate our 25th Golf Classic because it truly shows the unique, friendly, and special community of which we belong. It is always a wonderful event, and we are blessed to have so many golfers, sponsors, and volunteers support CHCC.”

Each year, volunteers from the Golf Classic Committee organize the annual outing for CHCC. The committee is co-chaired by Rick De Bel and Edward Nieuwenhuis Jr., DPM. Committee members are Darcy Bickert, Maureen Braen, John Gunther, Bill Haggerty, David Krentel, Julie Lee, Bill Munn, and Gordon Stanley. “Our Golf Classic Committee is enthusiastic and dedicated to providing its participants a great day of golf that benefits our residents, patients, clients, and consumers. The committee is also currently selling tickets for The Barclays, which Christian Health Care Center will receive partial proceeds of ticket sales,” said David Krentel, Executive Director of the Christian Health Care Center Foundation. 

The Barclays will be held from August 19 to 24 at the Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus. CHCC has weekly grounds tickets available for $125, which includes an individual ticket to each day of the tournament, two practice rounds on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the four competitive rounds from Thursday through Sunday. By purchasing the tickets directly through CHCC, there is no fee to pay. Tickets are provided by the Tickets Fore Charity program sponsored by the PGA Tour, which means that 75 percent of the ticket price is donated by the PGA Tour to CHCC.
