Coronavirus Graffiti Found On Wyckoff Chinese Restaurant
The Township Committee has condemned what they call "hateful" graffiti spray-painted onto the windows and property of New Gourmet Garden.
WYCKOFF, NJ — The Township Committee has condemned an "act of racism" after coronavirus graffiti was found on the New Gourmet Garden Chinese restaurant earlier today.
According to a Northjersey.com report, "coronavirus," "COVID-19" and "go home to China" were spray-painted on the exterior of the building and the sidewalk leading in front of the space, which is located in the Mayflower Shopping Center.
According to a letter from the township committee, the Wyckoff Police Department is conducting an investigation into the matter, and "will pursue convictions to the fullest extent."

"This senseless act is our signal to stand strong against the violent hatred that fueled this attack," read the letter. "Our unity as a community is one of the most potent forces we have to protect Wyckoff."
Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco responded to the graffiti on Monday in a Facebook post.

According to the Northjersey.com report, AOA Cleaning Restoration, who removed the graffiti, will not charge for their services.
