County's 'Art in the Park' Event on Oct. 1
Approximately 100 artists will be featured at free show
Bergen County’s annual “Art in the Park Show and Concert” will take place on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Van Saun Park in Paramus.
Approximately 100 visual artists will be featured in the exhibit, representing a wide scope of artistic endeavors. The show, which is in its 47th year, is judged in five categories: Acrylics/Oils, Drawings/Prints/Pastels, Mixed Media, Watercolors, and Photography (digital and traditional).
Cash prizes will be awarded for Best in Show and first through third places.

Also featured will be Bergen County resident and saxophonist John Spellman and his quintet, who will perform from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
The event will be in Lot 4, Area F of Van Saun Park and is free to the public. Rain date is Sunday, Oct. 2. For more information, call the Bergen County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs at (201) 336-7292.
