Employee Stole Money From Wyckoff Car Wash, Police Say

A warrant has been issued for Joseph A. Torres' arrest, Chief Benjamin C. Fox said.

WYCKOFF, NJ - Police are looking for a Wyckoff Car Wash employee accused of stealing money from the register.

A warrant was issued for Joseph A. Torres’ arrest Jan. 6, said Wyckoff police Chief Benjamin C. Fox. Torres is 29 and lives in Paterson.

Detective Ryan Noon and Patrolman William Christopher investigated the alleged theft. An employee reported the missing money, authorities said.

Police reviewed surveillance tapes and saw an employee taking the money from the register, police said.

Torres’ bail was set at $5,000, Fox said, which will be imposed upon his arrest.
