The Northern New Jersey Chapter of the American Red Cross is proud to be sponsoring Pulitzer Prize winning author David Rhode, Wednesday, September 29th at the Wyckoff Family YMCA. The talk will begin at 7:30 pm and doors will open at 7:00 pm. Tickets are free but reservations are encouraged. The Wyckoff YMCA is at 681 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. David Rohde, while in Afghanistan reporting a story, was kidnapped by members of the Taliban. After being held captive in the remote mountains of Pakistan for 8 months, he escaped death and captivity under the cloke night. The Red Cross was the only contact Mr. Rhode had with his family to let them know he was alive. Please join us to hear this inspiring story of bravery and fortitude.
