The public is invited to get a jump on Independence Day festivities with a performance by the Ramsey Wind Symphony at The Atrium at The Allendale Community for Mature Living on Wed., June 29 at 7 p.m. The 50-piece orchestra will strike up a patriotic chorus that's fun for the whole family.
As one of the region's most well-established wind groups, the Ramsey Wind Symphony is a volunteer organization that provides qualified musicians with opportunities to renew, maintain and develop their interests and talents in the performing arts. Since its inception in 1986, the group has performed throughout northern New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y., and at a wide variety of community events. Comprised of approximately 60 talented musicians from the surrounding area, the symphony is under the direction of Charles Yassky, who has served as the music director since 2007.
Due to the popularity of this annual performance, advance reservations are required. Attendees are requested to be seated by 6:30 p.m. For more information or to pre-register, call Mary Stampleman at (201) 818-7979 or visit www.allendalecommunity.com.
