Flat Tire Leads To Drug Charges: Police

A Ridgewood man was arrested following a report of a suspicious vehicle on Sunrise Drive July 8, police said.

Patrolman Mark Tagliareni responded to Sunrise Drive to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle, said Chief Benjamin Fox; the vehicle had a flat tire.

Tagliareni smelled marijuana in the car and John Lesane III, 48, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of narcotics in a motor vehicle, Fox said.

Lesane was released and is scheduled to appear in Wyckoff Municipal Court July 22.
