Franklin Lakes Police Use Narcan to Save Two Males Overdosing on Heroin

A 21-year-old from Riverdale and a 19-year-old from Haskell were overdosing at a home on Van Dine avenue.

Franklin Lakes police used Narcan to save two individuals overdosing on Heroin Sunday.

Police officers responded to residence on Van Dine Avenue at 8:44 p.m. on a report of two males who had overdosed on Heroin, Detective Lieutenant John Bakelaar said. Officers administered Narcan to a 21-year-old male from Riverdale and a 19-year-old male from Haskell.

Both males were transported to Valley Hospital, as was an officer who had been accidentally stuck with a needle recovered at the scene, Detective Lt. Bakelaar said.
