The 2 drivers involved in the crash were taken to the hospital.

FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ — A borough woman caused a serious motor vehicle crash Thursday morning when she tried putting on a sweatshirt while driving, police said.

The woman was driving her Jeep Renegade north on Pulis Avenue when she tried putting on the sweatshirt, but had difficulty, said Capt. John Bakelaar.

The woman's vehicle crossed over into the southbound lane and struck a Nissan Maxima, which was pushed back off the road, Bakelaar said. The impact of the crash spun the Jeep Renegade around.
