Hottest Fall Trends in Male Fashion

When it comes to fashion shows, what often jumps to mind are ridiculous getups that nobody would ever wear in public. These outfits seem more like art made with fabric that was either created on a dare, or made to humiliate runway models. But once you filter out the laughable ones, some real fashion trends emerged during New York Fashion Week 2013. You may ask why this matters to you; after all, you know what you like and you have your style. However, you’ll turn a few heads if you change your usual look. If you feel like you’ve been wearing the same things over and over for too long, now is the perfect time to try something new.

Overcoats: Since you’ll be wearing winter coats for a while, you might as well look fashionable this season. Although Duckie Brown designed a series of unique backward coats, you’ll want something more practical. A Hugo Boss coat will give you a similarly fashionable look. Designers like Dennis Basso have incorporated fur in coat trims. Try a Gimo’s coat with a soft faux fur lining.

Hats and Gloves: Coats will keep your torso warm, but you’ll need more when the wind is howling. Leather gloves are in style. Don’t forget a cap that will protect your head and ears.

Wool: As long as the winter weather persists, keep wearing wool sweaters and blazers. Also, don’t forget about wool suits.

Cashmere: A cashmere sweater can be both fashionable and comfortable while the wintry weather persists. If you would like something to incorporate with your work attire, cashmere gloves and scarves can be worn outside, and cashmere socks can be worn any time.

Houndstooth: This pattern has seen a lot of creative use recently. Designers like Tommy Hilfiger and Asher Levine have been incorporating the pattern on everything from sweatshirts to trousers. An easy way for you to take advantage of this trend is to sport a houndstooth accessory. A Tallia brand necktie or a bowtie can appear very striking. A scarf with a larger pattern is a bolder fashion statement. If you prefer a subtle change, try updating your look with a houndstooth pocket square. When you’re out of the work environment, a Robert Graham sweater can keep you warm and in style.

If you have been thinking of keeping up with the latest fashions, there’s no reason not to try. Even if the styles change, you will still be looking professional with your new wardrobe. Go choose your favorite styles and get ready for spring!
