Man Sentenced In Case Where Girlfriend's Baby Ingested Heroin In Her Wyckoff Home

A Bergen County man was sentenced to five years’ probation for allowing his girlfriend’s’ baby to ingest heroin in her Wyckoff home.

Mark Tomat of Mahwah, 26, pleaded guilty to child endangerment and admitted that he and his girlfriend, Tara Bradbury, were using heroin in her Wyckoff home Feb. 15, 2014 when Bradbury’s 9-month-old found heroin and ingested it, NorthJersey.com reported.

The baby was rushed to the hospital and administered Narcan to counteract the effects of the heroin, the website reported.

Bradbury was sentenced to drug court in December.
