Mike Azarra and Audrey Meyers of Ridgewood Serving on Gala Committee For Christian Health Care Center's Event

Christian Health Care Center (CHCC), located in Wyckoff, recently announced that it will be honoring Douglas H. Dittrick and Rev. David P. Krentel (posthumously) for their legacy of service, leadership, and commitment to our communities. A Celebration of Excellence will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, at The Venetian in Garfield. Tickets start at $250 each or $2,500 for a table of 10. Various sponsorship and ad-journal opportunities are available for the gala. Proceeds from the event will benefit CHCC’s 2015 Annual Fund, which will be used for renovations to CHCC’s The Longview Assisted Living Residence.

Mike Azarra and Audrey Meyers, both residents of Ridgewood, are serving on the Gala Committee. Mike Azarra is a Senior Consultant with Foley Proctor Yoskowitz LLC, an executive search firm specializing in the health-care industry. He was the founding President and CEO of Valley Health System, after serving as CEO of The Valley Hospital for 18 years.

“Doug Dittrick is a type of trustee and leader that every organization wants on its board,” said Mr. Azarra. “He has served so many organizations that span the world of service: Boy Scouts, his university, The Valley Hospital, Children’s Aid and Family Services, Christian Health Care Center, and the Ridgewood Board of Education, to name a few. He is a quick study, asks great questions, and rises in the ranks of leadership wherever he serves.”

Audrey Meyers is the current President and CEO of Valley Health System and The Valley Hospital. Ms. Meyers is a trustee of the New Jersey Hospital Association and has served as the organization’s Vice Chairman, Secretary, and Trustee.

“On behalf of the Valley Health System, I am delighted to serve on Christian Health Care Center’s Gala Committee as it recognizes the many contributions of Douglas Dittrick,” said Ms. Meyers. “In addition to his support of the good work of Christian Health Care Center, Doug has been a good friend and steadfast supporter of Valley and has served with distinction for more than two decades as a Valley trustee and a board officer for many of those years. We join Christian Health Care Center in saluting Doug Dittrick.”

Dick and Lindsey Moynihan of Franklin Lakes are serving as gala co-chairs. Mr. and Mrs. Moynihan are long-time supporters of CHCC. Mrs. Moynihan, whose mother resided at the Center for 12 years, served on the CHCC Foundation Board of Trustees for six years. Mr. Moynihan has served on several boards of Valley Health System. They are both active in their church, Christ Episcopal in Ridgewood.
