Missing Bergen County Man Found Dead In Monroe Township: Report

A missing Rutherford man reported missing earlier this week was found dead in a home under construction in Monroe, authorities said.

Alfred “Fred” Fiume, 53, was found in a home in Monroe, Rutherford police Capt. Patrick Feliciano told NJ.com.

Feliciano and James M. O’Neill, a spokesman with the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, could not be reached for comment.

Authorities began searching for Fiume when he didn’t show up for work Tuesday morning.

Fiume got off the New Jersey Turnpike at about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday and his phone was pinged near Gravel Hill Road in Monroe Township at 7:57 a.m., state police said.
