PA Man has Heroin Overdose in Franklin Lakes, Driver Arrested

A 22-year-old Pennsylvania man was taken to the hospital, while the 21-year-old driver was arrested.

A Pennsylvania man was overdosing on Heroin while riding in a car in Franklin Lakes Tuesday and his friend, the driver, was arrested.

Franklin Lakes police officers responded to a cell phone report from a driver travelling on Rt. 208 shortly after 9 p.m. about a male passenger overdosing on Heroin, according to Franklin Lakes police.

Officers located the vehicle near Summit Avenue and transported the passenger, a 22-year-old Pennsylvania resident, to the hospital.

The driver of the vehicle, Joseph Alderisio, 21, of Oakland, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving.
