Paving Of Wyckoff Avenue To Cause Delays

Work is expected to take four days next week. Detours will be put in place.

Part of Wyckoff Avenue will be repaved next week beginning Tuesday.

The county-owned road will be milled and repaved from Atwood Place to Lafayette Avenues from Tuesday through Friday, officials announced.

The county is scheduled to mill the roadway Tuesday and Wednesday and pave it Thursday and Friday. Work will be done from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. No work is planned for evenings or weekends.

Detours will be posted as the work progresses. These detours will have a 25-mile-per-hour speed limit. Motorists should expect significant delays and plan for extra time traveling near Wyckoff Avenue while work is being done.

Garbage and recycling pickups will continue as scheduled on affected roadways. Materials should be placed outside before 6 a.m.
