Maryland woman robbed during a trip to Wyckoff to visit a man she met online, police said.

A Maryland woman was robbed by a man she knew at gunpoint Saturday while she was in Wyckoff trying to meet a man she talked to on the Internet, police said.

Authorities said Sgt. Michael DeMaio and Patrolman Kyle Ferreira spoke to a 19-year-old woman who said she was robbed at gunpoint by a man she said she knew.

Police said the woman talked to a Wyckoff man on the Internet and came to the borough to stay with him; she couldn’t contact the man so she reached out to a man she knew, police said.
