Police: Resident Chases Burglar From Goffle Road Home

A man chased a burglar from his Goffle Road Road Sunday night, authorities said.

The man came home at 10:18 p.m. Sunday and heard a noise coming from the back of the house. He saw a man fleeing the house with cash and electronics he allegedly tried to steal, police said.

The homeowner chased the man down the street but could not catch up to him; the man dropped cash and ”electronic items,” police said.

The homeowner could not provide police with a description of the man.

Police from Midland Park, Ridgewood, and Hawthorne, and a K-9 unit from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department searched the area but could not find the alleged burglar, police said.
