Ramapo HS Girls Varsity Volleyball Team Named State Champions
The team was congratulated at Monday's Township Committee meeting.

The 2014 Ramapo High School Girls Varsity Volleyball Team was honored at the Wyckoff Township Committee’s meeting on Monday for being named the 2014 New Jersey Group II Section B Sectional State Champion after their 2-0 victory over Tenafly on Nov. 13.
The Ramapo High School Varsity Volleyball team went through the 16-team state playoff bracket, first defeating Morris Tech High School on Nov. 4, defeating Morris Hills High School in the second round on Nov. 7, Sterling High School in the Sectional Semifinals on Nov. 11 and Tenafly in the Sectional Final - all by a score of 2-0.
For their overall record of 19 wins and 11 loses, being tied for third place in the Big North Freedom Division and being ranked in the top 20 in Northern New Jersey by the Bergen Record, the Ramapo High School Girls Varsity Team and their coach, Dave Van Cook, received recognition by Wyckoff Mayor Douglas J. Christie and the rest of the Township Committee board members.
