Smart Job Hunting - Don't take the Summer off !

Attendance has lightened up during the summer at our NhN meeting groups and this is a huge mistake for those who are job hunting. While it is more difficult to find people who are hiring working as they all take their time off in the summer, it is the time that many companies prepare for their fall business seasonal spikes. Also fishing while less people are fishing is a good way to stand out from the other 9 job seekers that are all up for the same jobs your are applying for. While we all need to recharge batteries to get distracted by all the summer activities is a mistake.  Plan your break time around a  schedule of things you need to get accomplished in your job search campaign. Do networking and build your LinkedIn network.  Many with jobs who are on vacation might be bored and be less distracted with work to engage you in some networking which is the only way to land that job you want today.
