FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ — A special education consultant had his license permanently revoked for admittedly sexually abusing eight children he was supposed to be caring for, according to an NJ.com report.
Troy Leonard, 31, plead guilty in May 2016 to eight counts of second-degree sexual assault. All the children were younger than 13, authorities announced. Leonard admitted to having sexual contact while serving as their behavioral therapist. He also admitted billing insurance companies for treatment he never provided, officials said.
Leonard billed himself as life coach, and Applied Behavior Analysis therapist and family counselor, but he was not a credentialed behavior analyst, records show, according to the NJ.com report.
