It's Wyckoff Day

Come one come all rain or shine.

Today you won’t need to sit in traffic or spend money on gas to find cotton candy, kiddie rides, live entertainment, shopping and delicious food. Area residents can participate in a carnival of activities at the Wyckoff Family YMCA’s Second Annual Wyckoff Day. The festivities located on the Y’s Wyckoff Avenue campus begin at noon and continue until dusk.

“This is a day by the community for the community," said Wyckoff Day organizer Lee Parker, owner of 3 Chicas Mexican Kitchen.   “We're thankful for the kindness and generosity  of sponsors who offset the costs associated with the day’s activities."  Sponsors include Shop Rite/Inserra Supermarket,  Stop & Shop,  Phelps Construction Group, Nicholas Markets, TD Bank, and the Wyckoff PBA to name a few.

Over 150 vendors are participating in the event.  These include 15 food stands,  local merchants, area non-profit groups and assorted businesses.  “There will be something for everyone in your family from toddlers to seniors to enjoy at Wyckoff Day,” said Kris Pepper, Director of Public Relations at Wyckoff YMCA.

Pulis Field will be transformed into a Fun Zone featuring nine amusement rides, Zak Magic Show, field day games and kid’s activities including crafts and face painting. “Some activities will cost only $1,” said Pepper. “We want to make the day fun and affordable for all, “she added. Amusement ride wrist bands will sell for $25 per person for unlimited rides.  Individual ride tickets will also be available.

An addition to Fun & Games at the Lake, a new Waterpark, featuring inflatable rides, will be available for those wishing to get wet. These activities, located in the Spring Lake area, will be free of charge.
