WEATHER ALERT: Strong Thunderstorm, Hail Moving Through Region

The storm, which could bring torrential rain and nickel-sized hail, was over Ramsey at 3:10 p.m. and is moving east at 25 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Winds in excess of 30 miles per hour will accompany the heavy rain, the National Weather Service said.

“Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may cause localized flooding,” the NWS said.

A flash flood watch is in effect until 11 p.m.
