Wegman's Announces Opening Date For Bergen County Store
The store will employ 450 local residents, the company said.
BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. — Wegman's has announced when its highly-anticipated Montvale store will open.
The company’s Montvale store, a 108,000-square-foot supermarket, will open at West Grand Avenue and Mercedes Drive Sept. 24.
The store will anchor The Shoppes at DePiero Farm, a 28-acre, $125 million project. The store is going where the former DePiero’s Country Farm, a 91-year-old, family-owned business, was located.

Wegman's has begun hiring 500 employees, 200 full-time and 300 part-time. Of the 500, 450 will be local residents, the company announced in January.
The store will feature a burger bar, coffee shop, organic salad bar and pizza shop.

Another Wegman's will open June 23 in Hanover.
