A new director of curriculum has been appointed in the Ramapo-Indian Hills District, including 2 high schools for 3 Bergen County towns.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — The Ramapo-Indian Hills School District, which includes two high schools for 3 Bergen County towns, announced a new curriculum director this week.
Dr. Melissa Quackenbush comes from the Paramus Public Schools, where she has been the curriculum supervisor of humanities.
There has been some controversy over the past year in the district, which educates high school students from Wyckoff, Oakland, and Franklin Lakes. The district is seeking a permanent superintendent after the last one moved to the Fair Lawn schools.

It brings me great pleasure to introduce Dr. Melissa Quackenbush, who recently joined us as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Articulation. With an exceptional background and a steadfast dedication to educational excellence, Dr. Quackenbush is well-positioned to significantly contribute to our district's mission and vision.
Dr. Quackenbush’s extensive experience in educational leadership, including her most previous role as the District Curriculum Supervisor of Humanities at Paramus Public Schools, underscores her capability to lead our curriculum initiatives effectively. Her expertise in curriculum development and instructional innovation, complemented by a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology & Program Evaluation, aligns seamlessly with our commitment to promoting student success through data-driven decision-making.
Furthermore, Dr. Quackenbush's leadership during the Covid-19 pandemic as an Interim Director of Special Services demonstrates her ability to navigate complex challenges while fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
