Whole Foods Market is recalling bulk and packaged Curry Chicken Salad and Classic Deli Pasta sold in stores in seven states, including New Jersey, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced Friday.

The salads could be contaminated with listeria, which has been known to cause fatal infections in young children, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems.

The prepackaged salads were sold in chef’s cases and in sandwiches and wraps prepared in the stores between Sunday and Friday and have a sell by date of Saturday, Oct. 23.
