Woodside Avenue School Hosts Earth Day Competition
Kids created an environmental slogan and planted flowers.
Did you know that Americans produced enough trash to circle the Earth 24 times? That is a scary statistic that the students at Woodside Avenue School would like to change.
In preparation for Earth Day this year, students were given a mission to create a new Earth Day slogan to help reinforce how important it is to take care of our home, the Earth.
Four class doors were selected as winners by the PTA. The winners of this challenge will be planting flowers on school grounds. This was a terrific school-wide initiative to remind everyone that Earth Day is everyday!
