Wyckoff Committee, Board Meetings Might Be Broadcast Live

It would cost about $3,000 to establish the broadcast and $2,200 annually thereafter.

WYCKOFF, NJ — Local officials are discussing the possibility of broadcasting Township Committee meetings live.

The Township Committee might establish a two-person subcommittee that would further examine the feasibility of bringing the project to fruition.

Mayor Brian Scanlan said it would cost about $3,000 this year to establish the service and $2,200 annually thereafter. The Township Committee voted to discuss the issue at its next meeting on March 19.

Scanalan previously said that Township Committee and land-use board meetings need to be broadcast live.Scanlan, who ran on a platform of greater transparency within municipal government, has volunteered to donate his $4,000 annual stipend this year back to the township to fund the initiative.
