Wyckoff Girls Honored For Championship-Winning Season
The 3rd-grade North/West Bergen/Passaic League team won their league championship recently. Assemblyman Kevin Rooney honored the team.
WYCKOFF, NJ — A championship-winning township girl's basketball team was honored by state Assemblyman Kevin Rooney (District 40) Wednesday.
Rooney, a former township mayor, presented citations to the players and coaches of the third grade girls' traveling basketball team for winning the North/West Bergen/Passaic League Championship. The team went undefeated this season.
"These young women have shown incredible sportsmanship and dedication, and their enthusiasm is inspiring," Rooney said in a statement. "Congratulations to the team, and best of luck next season."
