Wyckoff Library Hosts Autism Event
The mother of a girl with autism is organizing the event to discuss ways to improve the daily lives of members of the autistic community.

Wyckoff Public Library is hosting a community forum on how to improve the lives of those with autism.
NorthJersey.com reports on the autism event:
Dotty Blakeslee, whose 23-year-old daughter Maddy has autism, is organizing a “Community Forum on Disabilities” to discuss social activities, transportation, housing and employment needs of people with physical and mental limitations.

“This is an opportunity for first responders, community leaders, parents and siblings to network and discuss the needs of this population in the community,” said Blakeslee. “This is about brainstorming ideas.”
The panel includes Bergen County Freeholder Maura DeNicola, former Allendale Mayor Vince Barra, Moe’s Southwest Grill owner Mia Diprizito and Tom Toronto from United Way.
