Wyckoff Native Will Swim At National Meet
Madison Nowak, a star swimmer at Michigan State University, will compete in the USA College Challenge Nov. 12 and 13.

WYCKOFF, N.J. — A borough native, and former Wyckoff Sharks swimmer, will participate in a prestigious national competition later on this month.
Madison Nowak, a student at Michigan State University, is a member of the event's Big Ten Conference Roster. The competition pits members of the USA Swimming National Team against athletes from the Big Ten Conference.
Nowak was an all-county champion in the 200-meter medley relay and 100-meter freestyle prior to attending Michigan State. She was league champion in the 100-meter backstroke and 100-meter freestyle. She also competed for the Sharks at the short course and long course YMCA nationals.

This season, Nowak placed second in the 200-meter backstroke versus the University of Michigan, third in the 100-meter backstroke versus Ohio State University, and fourth in the 200-meter backstroke versus the University of Notre Dame.
