Brooklyn Man Charged With Using Stolen Credit Cards In Wyckoff, Police Said
Man with 50 fraudulent credit cards on him tried to buy gift cards at CVS, police said.
A Brooklyn man was charged with robbery and theft after he tried using several fraudulent credit cards at the CVS Pharmacy on Franklin Avenue Monday night, police said.
Jonta T. Jackson, 28 of Brooklyn, New York, tried to purchase gift cards using several different fraudulent credit cards to purchase multiple gift cards at the store, said Wyckoff Police Chief Benjamin Fox.
Jackson and Janea M. Hughley, 23, were seen inside a Stop & Shop supermarket, and, when police confronted them, Jackson ran; Hughley was Jackson’s getaway driver, Fox said.

Jackson had 50 fraudulent credit cards with his name on them with him. Hughley also had fraudulent cards on her. The information on the magnetic strips was cloned from other people’s cards, police said.
Jackson and Hughly had $2,000 worth of gift cards on them that were purchased throughout North Jersey throughout the day, authorities said.

Jackson was charged with theft, attempted theft, possession of fraudulent credit cards, robbery for using force in the commission of a crime, possession of stolen property, and obstruction of justice. Hughley was charged with possession of fraudulent credit cards and obstruction of justice.
Jackson was committed to the Bergen County Jail in default of $25,000 and Hughley was committed in default of $15,000 bail.
