Wyckoff Received Highest Award From AAA

Officials honored for their efforts to promote traffic safety.

Wyckoff Township has been given the Award of Excellence from the North Jersey American Automotive Association for its campaign to promote traffic safety.

Wyckoff was one of only 10 municipalities out of nearly 100 in Bergen, Passaic, and Hudson counties to receive the honor. It is the 10th time in 12 years the township has received the award.

“Whether it’s Wyckoff Avenue or Abbey Road, it’s important for motorists to be vigilant when it comes to pedestrians using crosswalks,” said Wyckoff Police Chief Benjamin Fox on one of the posters created for the safety campaign. “New Jersey law requires that drivers come to a complete stop when pedestrians are crossing the street on designated crosswalks.”
