Wyckoff Sharks Finish 13th At Nationals

WYCKOFF, NJ — The Wyckoff Sharks swim team finished 13th at the YMCA National Swim Championship recently.

Thirty-one local swimmers participated at the competition. More than 1,000 athletes from more than 130 YMCA swim teams throughout the United States competed.

"Our swimmers proudly represented the core values of the YMCA: respect, caring, responsibility, and honesty during their week long stay in Indianapolis," Coaches Ken Berk and Francesco Peta stated in a press release. "

They not only enjoyed their experience with their teammates, showing stellar sportsmanship, they took it upon themselves to cheer for swimmers from other teams who were without teammates."

Francis Biagioli finished fourth in the 400 meter individual medley.

Jamie Yadoff, Abby Choi, Kim Caccamo, and Kate Sheridan finished sixth in the 400 meter

free relay. Yadoff, Choi, Sheridan, and Sarah Horne finished seventh in the 200 meter free relay.

Kevin Cortright finished eighth in the 100 meter freestyle.

Lucas Keh, Gordon Steward, Harrison Yi, and Biagioli finished eighth in the 800 meter free relay.
