Albuquerque Public Schools: COVID Update: Booster Requirement

All school workers in New Mexico must provide proof they are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including a booster shot if eligible External link opens a new window. , or participate in weekly surveillance testing beginning Jan. 17.

The booster requirement is included in a new Public Health Order External link opens a new window.  released Dec. 2. The order also requires all schools (private, public, and charter) to maintain records of school worker vaccination status in accordance with applicable privacy laws and regulations and to provide such records to the Department of Health upon request.

 Beginning in January, APS will be asking for proof of vaccination. Employees who don't have proof of vaccination will be required to participate in weekly surveillance testing.
