City of Albuquerque will continue Luminaria Tour this year (krqe.com) — Albuquerque's popular Luminaria Bus Tour is back on for this year after city leaders reversed an earlier cancellation that drew community pushback. Mayor Tim Keller says the tour will continue while the city launches meetings and surveys to reimagine how future luminaria celebrations should look for neighborhoods and visitors.

Albuquerque testing an arroyo warning system that tracks weather (koat.com) — Albuquerque officials are piloting a new arroyo warning system to detect flash flooding and alert people, especially unhoused residents living in channels like "The Box" near Four Hills. After recent rescues and a death, the city, AMAFCA, Fire Rescue, and the National Weather Service are testing sensors and alarms aimed at preventing future tragedies and property damage.
   

3. City of Albuquerque increases action against apartment complex after code violations (krqe.com) — City of Albuquerque inspectors have cited the Mont44 apartments near Montgomery and San Mateo for severe code violations, from sewage leaks to electrical hazards, prompting formal action against the out-of-state landlord. Tenants have formed a union, and the city is giving the owner 15 days to fix conditions or face fines that could reach $17,500 per day, amid rising crime and health concerns at the complex.

Texas bank looks to grow in NM by buying Albuquerque lender (americanbanker.com) — A Texas-based community bank is buying Albuquerque's Southwest Capital Bank, expanding from one to seven branches across New Mexico while keeping local leadership in place. For Albuquerque customers, day‑to‑day banking is expected to remain the same, but decisions will increasingly be guided by WestStar's larger regional network and resources.
